The pain I see in us is the obsessive need to be somewhere that is other than here. Thinking the next goal, book, course, or seminar is our golden ticket is flawed leading to an endless chase of next and invalidating all that is now. Today we distinguish being in the concept vs in the presence of, and going to vs coming from the future.
